DESCRIPTION:Calling all Nature Explorers!  \nThe transition back to online learning can be tough and many are wondering how to spend time outdoors\, learning about the environment around them. Tune in with Lauren and Kari as they explore the natural world through interactive animal trivia\, engaging stories\, and lots of fun facts.  \nWhen: Every Monday\, Wednesday and Friday at 1pm until the end of June. \nWhere: Online\, register below \nLength: 20 minutes \nCost: Free \nThis online segment will take place over zoom\, where children will be led in learning activities about the environment\, then encouraged to go outside with their nature journals and their families to do fun nature activities suggested by Lauren and Kari. DESCRIPTION:How do we listen to those who are different from us? \nListening well and holding space for others in a world where we are increasingly defined by our differences is becoming ever more crucial. \nNearly a decade ago\, the Germinating Conversations initiative began nurturing relationships between Manitoba food growers and eaters by paying close attention to the art of listening well. \nGerminating Conversations\, the book\, emerged from that initiative. Join us on June 3rd to celebrate many years of dialogue and relationship building\, as reflected in this new book. Participants of Germinating Conversations will speak to their involvement in the initiative over the years and imagine possibilities for future dialogue and engagement with the new book. \nYou can purchase a copy of the book through CommonWord Bookstore and Resource Centre. \nThis event is supported through a partnership between A Rocha Canada\, Canadian Foodgrains Bank\, Canadian Mennonite University\, and Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba. \n\nPlease register below to get the Zoom link.
