SUMMARY:Silence in the Seasons Retreat
DESCRIPTION:“In the morning\, while it was still very dark\, he [Jesus] got up and went out to a deserted place\, and there he prayed” – Mark 1:35 \nMany of us plan to set aside time to pray and listen in the stillness\, but find that in our good intentions we forget or simply don’t follow through. You can join a cohort of fellow pilgrims to set aside time during each season this year (Fall\, Winter\, Spring & Summer). By joining you will be guided into a generous space of silence\, prayer and listening with the intention of connecting and becoming more aware of God’s presence and love. \nSilence in the Seasons Retreat series is intended to create space for people to come away from the busyness and demands of day-to-day life. Become still and aware of God’s presence as we listen in the place of the boreal forest over the seasons. Scott Gerbrandt\, A Rocha Manitoba Director\, will provide a lightly guided time with scripture and suggested prayer practices filled with generous space of silence. \nArrive Friday between 6:30-7:30 – Opening circle at 8pm \nDepart Saturday 4pm – Closing circle at 3pm \nWhat to expect: \n\nFacilitation and guided material in sync with each season\nSpace to wonder in the boreal forest\nSilence\nSimple and nutritious snacks & meals\n\nContact Scott Gerbrandt at scott.gerbrandt@arocha.ca if you are interested in participating in this rhythm this year. \n \nFall – Sept 28 – 29 \nWinter – Jan 4-5 \nSpring –  May 3-4 \nSummer –  July 26-27 \nCost: $75/person per retreat \nPlease note that all rooms are shared.
