DESCRIPTION:Explore the outdoors after school this Spring!\nWe are passionate about supporting children’s discovery of the awe and wonder of the natural world\, deepening their love and knowledge of their place\, and helping them to be more confident outdoors. \nWho: Our after-school program is designed for children from Grades K-7. There are only 12 spaces available. Children will engage in outdoor learning\, team building\, leadership and have fun together.  \nWhat: \n\nTeam building and leadership\nAmphibian pond surveys\nNative tree and plant identification\nPlanting seeds and seedlings\nMaking a forest feast with wild edibles\n\nWhen: After school from 3:30pm – 5:00pm on Tuesdays for 8 weeks (April 5 – May 24) \nWhere: All programming will take place at A Rocha Brooksdale: 1620 192 St\, Surrey\, BC V3Z 9V2. The kids will explore our farm\, river\, wetland and forest habitats here at Brooksdale. \nWhy: Kids will have a fully outdoor\, fun and safe opportunity to make friends in a small group with very experienced teachers/leaders. Some learning outcomes include: \n\nLeadership and teamwork\nConfidence and comfort in the outdoors\nCuriosity and wonder in nature\nDeepened appreciation of indigenous knowledge\nJoy and excitement through fun and adventure\nDeeper connections to nature\, self and others\n\nHow to Register: \n\nSign up  and make payment through Eventbrite. \nDownload and complete the A ROCHA Registration Form and Parent Information & Agreement\nReturn forms at least 7 days prior to the day you registered for. Please email them to canada.kids@arocha.ca\n\nIMPORTANT: Your registration is NOT considered complete until we have received the registration form containing medical information and waiver. \nCANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: If the program is cancelled due to Covid-19 provincial health requirements\, all A Rocha fees will be fully refunded. We are doing everything we can to carefully follow safety protocols so your child has a great experience! \nFamilies withdrawing with more than one week’s notice before the start of the After-school program will be refunded the registration minus the Eventbrite administration fee. DESCRIPTION:We are completely dependent on healthy and vibrant ecosystems for our food\, water\, fuel\, shelter\, medicines\, clothes and energy\, just to name a few. Come and discover with us how we can be a part of the solution of conserving biodiversity!\n\nFor children Grade K – 7.\nCamp runs from 9am to 3pm.\nCome dressed for an active day outside (rain or shine). Wear gear for the weather: hats\, boots and sun/rain protection. (No umbrellas\, please)\nBring extra set of clothing and socks.\nBring your own snack (both morning and afternoon)\, lunch & water bottle.\nBring hand sanitizer and mask. We’ll use masks for activities where we’re in close proximity to one another. *(following the most current BC protocols)\n\nHow to Register \nRegistration is a 3-step process: \n1. Sign up\, and make payment through Eventbrite. If you would like financial assistance- Contact us for more information. \n2. Download and complete the Day Camp Registration Form and Parent Information & Agreement Form. (Note: You don’t have to submit the forms if your child has attended one of our 2021 programs\, unless info has changed.) \n3.  Return forms by 7 days prior to the day you registered for. Please email them to canada.kids@arocha.ca \nIMPORTANT: Your registration is NOT considered complete until we have received the registration forms containing medical information and Consent waiver.  \nCANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS:  If a camp is cancelled due to Covid-19 provincial health requirements\, all camp fees will be fully refunded to affected families.    \nFamilies withdrawing with more than one week’s notice will be refunded full registration cost minus the Eventbrite administrative fee.
