DESCRIPTION:Are you a grateful eater curious about writing? An avid reader hungry for community connections? Or a writer whose only culinary skill lies in cooking up metaphors? Regardless of your background\, you’re invited to experience the evocative power of food in this hands-on workshop that will engage all your senses and connect you to each other’s stories. \nEnjoy a site tour of A Rocha Canada’s regenerative farm and heritage site\, and sample some farm-fresh goodies on the way. \nNo prior writing (or cooking!) experience is necessary. An appreciation of food is enough. \nFor ages 16 and up. \nWhat to Bring: \n\nBring a water bottle\, and come dressed for activities in the outdoors\, rain or shine. Wear a hat\, sunscreen and bring an extra layer and waterproof outer jacket for wet days. You are welcome to bring your own lunch and enjoy a picnic on the grounds after the event.\nPlease note that pets are not permitted on the property.\n\n*Note: Event proceeds will go towards our Farm to Families Program\, to provide vegetable donations and subsidized workskhops for under-served adults and children. DESCRIPTION:Once a month meet-up with people mobilizing earthkeeping at churches. \nAre you mobilizing your church to care for creation? Do you wish more people shared your interest? Then join like-minded folks for a Church Earthkeepers Meet-Up. At these monthly sessions we’ll learn from each other by swapping stories as a way to encourage and equip us to catalyze earthkeeping at church. Come prepared to share your ideas and to hear what works for others as we build a network of regular people working to care for creation within a local church setting. \nThese online gatherings will take place the last Tuesday of every month at 5 PM – 6 PM Pacific Time (8 PM – 9 PM Eastern Time).
